International Federation of Medical Students Associations of the Netherlands (IFMSA-NL) is an organisation for Dutch medical students, situated at each of the eight medical faculties. Their mission is to offer future physicians a comprehensive introduction to global health issues. Through our programming and opportunities, we develop culturally sensitive medical students, intent on influencing the transnational inequalities that shape the health of our planet. The European MD/PhD Association (EMPA) is a non-profit organisation that brings together healthcare students and graduates with an interest in science from across Europe. Its primary goal is to create a network connecting MD/PhD candidates from all European countries. EMPA organises various scientific events, including webinars and its annual conference, which is held in a different European city each year. This conference gathers MD/PhD candidates from across Europe to share knowledge and foster collaboration. In addition, EMPA collects information and advises policymakers on improving MD/PhD programmes, raises funding to support European translational research projects, and promotes the mobility of MD/PhD candidates throughout Europe.

Tanzania Medical Student Association (TAMSA) is the sole National Organisation for Medical Students. It was inaugurated in 1990s, having originated from the Dar es Salaam Medical Students’ Association (DUMSA), which was established in 1968 under University of Dar es salaam.TAMSA is a member of the International Federation for Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), which is one of the world’s oldest and largest student-run organizations recognized by the World Health Organization as an official international forum for Medical Students. The Young European Scientist Meeting (YES Meeting) is an annual international students conference which takes place at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, Portugal. After many editions, we are still driven by the same major goals: to promote junior research in the biomedical field, to provide students with a platform to share their experiences and to bridge the gap between world-renowned researchers and the next generation of scientists.

The YES Meeting is organising an outstanding scientific programme that will count with the presence of the world’s class experts in the biomedical fields, such as Neurosciences, Oncology, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Immunology, Internal Medicine and Surgery.

The AIMS Meeting is the largest European conference organised by medical students and supported by the Students’ Association of the Faculty of Medicine of University of Lisbon (Portugal). It is intended for all undergraduate students currently attending biomedical science degrees.

In recent years, AIMS Meeting had more than 800 participants from 29 different countries and 4 continents, who had the opportunity to attend 4 days of lectures, more than 120 different workshops and 4 different competitions (Research, Scientific, Clinical and Start-Up). On this edition, they were privileged to count with the participation of renowned lecturers, such as Dr. Leland Hartwell (Nobel prize winner) and Prof. Joan Steitz (Lasker Prize Winner).

This year’s edition will be held from the 24th to the 27th of March 2025 and they can already disclose that they will have the participation of Professor Peter Hegemann (Lasker Prize Winner). The International conference for Healthcare and Medical Students is Ireland’s first student led conference, founded at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2010. Their annual international conference is organised by a group of full-time students studying in the healthcare field at RCSI in Dublin, Ireland.

They welcome undergraduate students studying in any healthcare field – including physiotherapy, pharmacy, and medicine. Students who wish to develop their research and presentation skills, network with like-minded peers and professionals, and learn from world leaders in small group workshops or during our keynote lectures will find ICHAMS an inspiring environment. The International student Congress on Clinical Innovation and Medical Sciences (ICOCIMS) is an international biomedical student conference taking place in Italy, fostering scientific dissemination, career development, and networking opportunities among students from diverse geographical and academic backgrounds. They welcome undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, as well as recent graduates, from all fields of biomedical science.

The third edition of ICOCIMS will take place in the charming city of Parma (Italy) in November 2025.

ICMS, the International Congress of Medical Sciences is an international event that  welcomes more than 500 participants every year.

The congress gives the opportunity to students and young doctors from all over the world to present their research in a set of pre-clinic, therapy, surgery and public health poster and oral sessions. MEDICS (Medical International Conference for Students) is the main event organised by SOMS (Scientific Organisation of Medical Students). Their mission is to bring together science enthusiasts from all over the world and provide them with exceptional opportunities to broaden their horizons, share their work, and make connections with like-minded people.

The Leiden International (Bio)Medical Student Conference (LIMSC) is the largest biennial student conference in the world. Founded in 1999, LIMSC strives to create an opportunity for (bio)medical students to present their research and to share knowledge whilst meeting their peers. The conference takes place at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and is composed of guest lectures, various state-of-the-art workshops and a special Career & Internship Fair. BIMCO is the Bukovinian International Medical and Pharmaceutical Congress of Students and Young Scientists, which is held annually in Chernivtsi and is one of the top ten student congresses in Europe. More than 300 partcipiants from more than 30 countries take part in ite every year. For four days you will be able to share knowledge and learn new things together with your colleagues who share the same interests that make you young scientists. The format of the congress is mixed. The official languages of the Congress are Ukrainian and English.

Medical Faculty Association Panacea (M.F.V. Panacea) is the study association of Medicine in Groningen. It was founded in 1987 and looks after the interests of the medical students in Groningen by, among other things, evaluating the curriculum, conversing with the faculty and the teachers and organising various activities to make social contacts and develop interests. M.F.V. Panacea provides career opportunities and stimulates its members to orient outside the study programme.
