Sessions
At ISCOMS, students will present their research through plenary, oral or poster presentations, or have the opportunity to display their poster on one of our posterpods. The plenary presentations feature the top eight abstracts, representing the highest standard in terms of scientific significance, originality and potential impact. Abstracts that meet a high standard but are not selected for plenary presentations are chosen for oral presentations. Additionally, selected abstracts that are not chosen for either plenary or oral presentations will be presented in the form of a poster presentation. Finally, the remaining abstracts will be displayed on one of our posterpods, which can be found at various locations throughout the congress.
Plenary presentations
Plenary presentations
From all submitted abstracts, the top eight will be selected for a plenary presentation. These presentations will take place in the main lecture hall, which has a capacity of approximately 400 people.
The ISCOMS 2025 jury will select and award three of the plenary presentations with an official Plenary Award. Additionally, the audience will vote to determine the recipient of the Plenary Audience Award.
On top of that, the First Year Committee (FYC) will present the FYC Award to one of the plenary presenters, recognizing exceptional quality and impact from the perspective of our junior organizing members.
Oral presentations
Oral presentations
The oral presentations will take place in a smaller setting, allowing for plenty of interaction and opportunities to ask questions.
There will be around twenty oral sessions spread throughout the congress days, each divided into specific categories to cover a wide range of research topics. In these sessions, students will have the opportunity to present their research using a PowerPoint presentation.
Each session will be supervised by an experienced researcher with expertise in the relevant field, alongside a student from the ISCOMS organization. At the end of each session, the session chairs will announce the session winner.
Poster presentations
Poster presentations
In our poster sessions, presenters will present their poster in front of a small audience. We offer about thirty poster sessions in three days. Each session has its own research subject and will be chaired by an experienced researcher in that particular field together with a student from the ISCOMS organisation. At the end of the session, the session chairs will announce the winner of the session.
Posterpods
Posterpods
During the PosterPods, participants will be able to show their poster at ISCOMS. There will be various points at the conference where you can find your poster. You will also receive an official certificate at the conference for your participation.
