University Ambassadors

The ambassadors of ISCOMS are students from all over the world who have visited ISCOMS themselves. Their experience at the congress has motivated them to help the organisation of ISCOMS to reach more students by using their own network. They are dedicated to promoting ISCOMS and helping other students to visit ISCOMS as well.

The ambassador programme started in 2006 with just a few enthusiastic participants. They spread the word about ISCOMS in their home-countries. In 2020, 82 ambassadors were active in 39 countries to promote ISCOMS. Their work consists mainly of promoting ISCOMS by distributing posters and flyers, digitally as well as on paper, and answering questions of students who are interested in visiting the congress. Some ambassadors even arrange information sessions or look into the possibility of arranging financial aid.

Below is a list of the ambassadors and their contact information. Ambassadors from your own country know the answer to a lot of your questions and can provide you with useful advice. They will also be able to answer questions about visas and travelling. Please dont hesitate to contact them; they will be more than willing to help.

If you are interested in becoming an ambassador yourself, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and sign up for the selection procedure at the congress. Also you can visit our website for more information or you can contact us at

Dear future ISCOMS participant, my name is Jordan Popović and I study dental medicine in Serbia. You are probably on this page to find some answers and find out about other people’s experience with ISCOMS. Honestly, a year ago I was thinking about many things and had even more questions, maybe even concerns. After my experience with ISCOMS and UMCG, I can say confidently that there is no better place for you to present your research. Organizing committee was very focused and made a conference that fulfilled all of the highest expectations and set the bar really high when It comes to student congresses, but I really feel like this is more serious and better organized than a lot of congresses made for professionals in the field of biomedicine. Work on your abstract, read it all over again, and If you get your acceptance letter, you are sure to have one of the most amazing science experiences while a student. Walking through Groningen is by itself an experience to remember, not to mention UMCG that looks like a museum and all of the interesting and super polite locals and internationals you will have a chance to meet. Please, feel free to contact me anytime about anything that you are trying to wrap your mind around and I will be as helpful and prompt as possible. Hope to see you in Groningen next year! Hello I am Liza Korniiko. I participated in ISCOMS twice: in 2017, while was studying on my 5th year in Bogomolets medical university, and in 2019, as a graduate master. Being there each time brought me something new and always something, breaking my own borders. I visited and still do many scientific events, but untill now sure that ISCOMS is one of the best I’ve ever participated students’ congress. It is extremely well-organized, thanks to organising committee (motivated students!), and the main thing – fulfilled of diverse numerous amount of the latest and the most interesting information from bio-medical world. And of course ability to meet new people from all over the globe. Btw, do not afraid to apply on IRF, as I did it first time! This is amazing opportunity to make your small project, be involved in a real scientific world and, at the same time, have an adorable social program. On IRF I met many awewsome people with the same interests, and even made a strong, county-boards breaking friendship with some of them. Because the main lesson I got from visiting Groningen: it doesn’t matter where are you from – the main thing is  w h o  you are. Warmest hugs, good luck  and only best wishes for everyone, who ended reading this text till the end:)
